About Rosie Taylor

My journey to being a McKenzie Friend began in 2015, when I became involved in a complex child arrangements case for my son. Initially, I made the costly mistake of hiring lawyers. After spending around £2000, before even stepping foot in a courtroom, I had sight of the preliminary documents. They were littered with errors. At that point, I promptly dis-instructed them as I felt that I could do a better job as a litigant in person.

I realised that I had a flair for family court when a judge described my documents as “better than what experienced barristers produce”. I won my case and got the exact result that I had wanted for my child.

Prior to becoming a McKenzie Friend, I was educated at Cambridge University, attaining a double first. I then spent some time as a surgeon, before starting my own business. Working as a surgeon taught me to be calm under pressure and to have good interpersonal skills, dealing with patients and fellow staff members. Running my business taught me to attain excellence for my clients.

Court can be a stressful and challenging time. However, I pledge to do my very best to get a favourable outcome for my clients.
