Phil was really helpful from start, definitely has in depth understanding about how the family court operates. A few times I had some last minute emergency submissions and I always felt his support; he even helped on a weekend with a really short notice. One thing I really have to highlight is Phil's honesty, which was sometimes harsh, but that was what prepared me for various potentialities, and prevented from wasting my time on aspects that courts are absolutely not interested about. NB. Had a different independent Mc Kenzie friend initially and he was not even half as good as Phil plus not transparent about the costs, let me down several times with deadlines, not easily accessible for days. I simply could not of coped without Michelle’s endless support through the latter stages of my divorce and Child Arrangement Order. My anxiety was so high approaching court deadlines and opening up solicitors letters but Michelle stepped in every time,keeping me calm, keeping me informed and well advised. I thought this module was excellent. The case was explained very thoroughly and is probably very typical of many cases in the courts so it was really helpful to see how it progressed.

It might be useful to add as an additional section, some other common scenarios. Not in the detail that was done with the other case but just some common features.

After struggling with a divorce which wasnt easy then after I though the dust had settled I had to deal with an impending custody court case. I found Phil's videos on YouTube to immensly helpful and were exactly what I was looking for in terms of learning what the process involved, how it all works and how to deal with it. I was dreading this module on financial remedy, but was very surprised to learn that it is not as awful as I thought.

Nothing prepares you for this – initial conversations with lawyers and barristers were expensive and confusing. Costs were out of control on top of the emotional distress of having unpredictable contact with my child.

I was stopped seeing my two young sons last year with no reason, after getting quotes from solicitors to assist throughout court proceedings for a child arrangements order it became apparent i wasn't going to be able to afford their fees. Quotes came in the region of £10k-£15k. I searched online and found Phil, the initial phone call took place within the same day I requested help, and he has made the whole process from start to finish a breeze. The final hearing took place yesterday and I got an order for 100% of everything I applied for. Phil has been understanding, and has been patient throughout.
